Automatic Trailer
Brake
Immobiliser
The
July 02 Government crime figures seem to have missed the
near 40% increase in reported trailer theft in the UK.*
The three year cumulative figure stood at 12, 359 trailers
reported stolen and unrecovered last year, and is up 4, 763 to 17,
122 this summer. the cost to industry is conservatively put at
"over 130 million" with some observers suggesting the
real figure may be double that.
The
Pownall Trailer Brake Immobiliser improves trailer security by
automatically locking the trailer brakes when the trailer is disconnected.
The system is disarmed by a coded key touched onto a
rugged, weatherproof pad normally mounted near the trailer
park brake valve, or by a tractor ID module.
Once disarmed, the
system is held off by brake system air pressure until the trailer
air supply is disconnected. The system utilises technology developed and
proven by Pownall over many years, the coded touch keys are
durable and do not require batteries.
The System can be
interfaced with tracking systems..**
