TRANSPONDER IMMOBILISER

24v, automatic arming, multi-circuit cuts, disarmed via a transponder carried on the key ring.

This system requires no driver input as the system is controlled by a transponder carried on the key ring. When the keys are removed from the ignition, the immobiliser becomes active after a short time delay. The system is disarmed when the key is inserted back into the ignition switch. The security of this system can also be enhanced using a choice of Pownall upgrades such as a fuel valve or Ultra automatic air brake lock.

For the very best in HGV theft prevention Pownall recommend an immobiliser be interfaced with Pownall's advanced Ultra-SC Automatic Air Brake Lock. This will prevent the release of the vehicle's brakes whilst the immobiliser is active.

The air brake lock may also be upgraded to include a horn which sounds when the park brake is released whilst the immobiliser is active.

FAIL SAFE

Note that the Ultra-SC Air Brake lock is completely fail-safe, i.e. it is impossible for the brakes to apply whilst the vehicle is in motion.
