Ultra-SC Air Brake Lock

This product is a key component in both safety and security systems to prevent the release of a commercial vehicles park brake. For example, in a safety system the vehicle is prevented from being driven off if equipment has not been correctly stowed or is still in use.

When used in a security system the vehicles park brakes are locked on until the security system has been turned off. The Ultra-SC Air Brake Lock is electrically operated. For high security applications it can be supplied encased with protected wiring to prevent it being electrically bypassed. Our technical department would be pleased to discuss your requirements.

OPTIONAL AUDIBLE WARNINGS

An audible driver warning can be given if the park brake control is releaesed while the brakes are locked on by the Ultra-SC valve. The air whistle is ideal when the Ultra-SC is used as a safety device.

In security applications an air horn can be a useful additional deterrent, producting a loud 120db high pitch alert when the park brake is released while the security system is active (brakes locked on).

FAIL SAFE

The Ultra-SC Air Brake Lock is fully accepted by the Vehicle Inspectorate. Its patented design incorporates safety features which make it completely fail-safe, i.e. it is impossible for the brakes to apply whilst the vehicle is in motion.
