AXIS-TD Alarm System for Trailers and Demount Bodies

By working with our customers, Pownall have developed the Axis-TD - an automatic, fully battery backed alarm system to protect and fit in with the way trailers and demount bodies are used.

Proven in service, the Axis-TD meets BS6803 Goods-in-Transit insurance requirements and incorporates several unique features and components only available from Pownall.

The digitally coded touch keys are used with the exclusive Pownall TouchPad Access System, a moulded receptacle providing simple one-touch disarming. The receptacle incorporates a status LED that aids location in the dark and also acts as a visual deterrent. Axis can have up to 3 TouchPad's per vehicle.

KEY SWITCHES CAUSE OF MANY PROBLEMS

Many makes of alarm system use high security key switches to disarm the alarm, despite these being the cause of many problems for fleet operators. The locks seize with dirt; vandals fill them with super glue; the lock works loose and sometimes the key breaks off in the lock. In addition, when they are installed on bodies, they often have an adaptable steel connection box mounted inside the body near floor level. As this sticks out it is prone to damage and is often knocked off by pallet trucks and cages.

All of these problems are eliminated by Pownall's superb TouchPad Access System KEY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.

Subject to your type of operation, multiple alarm keys may be required. The Axis-TD can be supplied with easy to use key management software, enabling the user to add or delete keys. the software database records key holders names and location and the owner of stray keys can be easily identified.

OPTIONS

Many options are available and a solar powered version is available for when the body is left free standing for long periods.
